Services like Mailinator, Guerrilla Mail, and YOPmail hand them out for free, which is why they turn up constantly in fake signups, free-trial abuse, and payment fraud.
An address on a throwaway domain almost never belongs to a lasting customer. Blocking or challenging disposable domains stops most fake-account creation, trial-stacking, and card testing before it starts, while real users on Gmail, Outlook, and the like pass through untouched.
